Commit to Ongoing Advocacy
As a 501(c)4, CA Arts Advocates is a comprehensive lobbying organization for the arts, culture and creative industries, working to influence equitable and just systems change through public policy and public investment. Your memberships will support direct lobbying efforts with state representatives and agencies, coalition building, policy analysis and writing and accountability advocacy over policies and agencies impacting our field.
Our sister organization, CA for the Arts is your statewide arts advocacy service organization providing free programs, services, training and supporting advocacy networks to foster public awareness and generate resources to cultivate a thriving cultural sector and creative industries. Your membership will support keeping our programs FREE and accessible for all.
Grow with UsOn Arts Advocacy Day last April, we organized over 300 advocates to meet with their representatives, armed with talking points and policy priorities. Together, we demonstrated our strength in numbers and delivered key messages at the State Capitol.
Over the past five years, CA for the Arts and CA Arts Advocates have built and cultivated relationships with lawmakers and other organizations that resulted in major accomplishments for public funding in the arts
Spring is a season of growth—and like trees taking root and growing deep into the ground, trust in an organization also takes time. And thanks to our members, 2024 was a year of real progress. Help us reach our goal of $30,000 to fuel even more impact in 2025!
When artists, organizations, policymakers, and the public understand how the arts intersect with policy, education, health, and the economy, they can advocate more effectively and build stronger, more sustainable communities.
Members fuel our movement! There are different levels to choose from, and we offer networking and peer learning opportunities, access to an online community (in development), discounts on events, input on our programs and priorities, support for local mobilizations and advocacy strategy, and access to latest news and updates.
At certain giving levels, we offer opportunities to partner with you to work in your communities or in strategy sessions with you.

"A big thank you from The Music Center! We are so very grateful for your and CCA's leadership to meet this moment. Your ability to consolidate the key leg issues and offer us the tools for focused advocacy has been crucial in this time. We know that this is the long haul and our work must continue - anchoring us through joy, connection, cultural meaning and creative expression during some of the most precarious times."Letitia Ivins, Senior Director, Civic Strategies & Partnerships, The Music Center
