How to use the toolkit

Local governments do not typically produce housing– non-profit or private developers do.

However, local governments do regulate, authorize and incentivize the creation of affordable housing developments to ensure that developers are meeting the needs of current and future residents.

Use this toolkit to advocate to your local government and guide them in passing the regulations needed to utilize and implement the provisions of AB812 in your local and state designated cultural district.
